Morra
Guess the total of the fingers, shouting louder than your opponent

Morra is a very old game, known throughout the Alps and Italy. In the Aosta Valley it is still played at festivals, in bars and at meetings between villages.
How it works
Two players face each other. At the same moment, each holds out a hand showing one to five fingers and shouts a number from two to ten. Whoever calls the exact total of fingers on both hands scores the point.
Fast and loud
Rounds follow each other very quickly, and numbers are shouted at full voice, often in patois. You have to read your opponent and keep your own rhythm. A game is played to a set number of points.
A festival game
Morra needs no equipment and can be played anywhere. That is what made it so popular, at almost every village festival.
