Stelle da paura: Halloween at the Lignan observatory
Planetarium and autumn sky, Saturday 31 October 2026

For Halloween night, the Aosta Valley Astronomical Observatory offers an evening devoted to the sky rather than to ghosts. It takes place at Lignan, in the municipality of Nus, home to the regional observatory and the planetarium.
How the evening runs
The evening is held on Saturday 31 October 2026, from 9 pm to 11 pm, in two parts of one hour each:
- The planetarium. The show “Stelle da paura – Il Planetario di Halloween” is projected under the dome. This production won the PLANit prize for the best science-communication video in 2022.
- The observatory. Visitors then observe the dark sky, with the naked eye and through telescopes, from the teaching terrace. The autumn constellations and a few deep-sky objects are on the programme.
