“Il volto del donatore” in Aosta
An exhibition of portraits of blood donors, 7 and 8 November 2026
“Il volto del donatore” (the donor’s face): the exhibition presents blood and plasma donation through portraits of people. It is put on by FIDAS Aosta Valley, the blood donors’ association, under the patronage of the Town of Aosta.
Twelve donors in front of the lens
This is the second edition of the exhibition. Twelve donors from the Aosta Valley, from different backgrounds, agreed to pose. The photographs are the work of Salvatore Papale, a volunteer photographer, who gave his time, skills and equipment.
A simple message
The exhibition is backed by the regional president of FIDAS, Rosario Mele. Its title sums up the idea: to show the faces of donors, and to say that giving blood means giving life.
