Hotel Le Soleil is in Corliod, a hamlet of Challand-Saint-Anselme, in the Ayas valley. It is a small, family-run place where you soon feel at home.
Rita and Salvatore
The owners, Rita and Salvatore, welcome their guests themselves. They take the time to show people round the house and to chat with everyone. Their care shows everywhere, in the decoration as well as in the service.
Between Verrès and Brusson
The hotel lies halfway between Verrès, in the central valley, and Brusson, higher up the Ayas valley. In winter you can drive to the slopes of the Monterosa Ski area, at the top of the valley. In summer it is a base for walks and bike rides. Or you can simply enjoy the sun.
The Ayas valley and the lower valley have several medieval castles to visit, starting with those of Verrès and Issogne, close to the mouth of the valley.
The rooms
The rooms are spacious, bright and tastefully decorated. The comfort is simple. After a day outdoors, you can relax in the shared lounge or in the garden.
At the table
The hotel has its own restaurant. Rita cooks traditional food there, with fresh local produce. The atmosphere is friendly, like the rest of the house.
