Les Granges

In Nus, at the entrance to the Saint-Barthélemy valley, the Crea family grows vines, cereals and vegetables. Their farm is called Les Granges, like the hamlet where it stands.
Work done by hand
Since 2012 the family has farmed biodynamically, using mostly manual methods. The plots are small. This makes it possible to follow each type of soil and each crop closely. The farm also tries to produce what it needs itself, as far as possible.
Six wines
- Nus Malvoisie: despite its name, this white is made from pinot gris. It smells of peach and pear, with a salty touch on the palate.
- Nus Malvoisie Flétri: a sweet wine made from grapes dried after the harvest. It recalls ripe fruit and figs.
- Pinot Noir: a balanced red with flavours of small red berries, to serve with meat.
- Nus DOC: a red blend based on local grape varieties, elegant and long on the palate.
- Cornalin DOC: a red made from a rare grape variety.
- Fumin DOC: a supple, velvety red for meat dishes and mature cheeses.
