Vuillermin DOC

A rare grape, rescued from oblivion

Vuillermin is one of the rarest grapes of the Aosta Valley. It had become almost impossible to find before a few growers took an interest in it again.

Only a few plots

On paper, it may be planted anywhere in the appellation. In practice, it occupies only a few vineyards.

A varietal wine

Vuillermin must make up at least 85% of the wine, and sale is permitted after five months’ ageing.

In the glass

Red with violet glints. An intense, vinous nose, and a full, dry, tannic palate.

At the table

Carbonade, game, braised meats, mature cheeses.
