Vinosteria Antirouille

Aymavilles is a winegrowing village a few kilometres west of Aosta. It has four private producers and the Cave des Onze Communes, the well-known cooperative. This is where the Vinosteria Antirouille has opened, both a wine cellar and a small restaurant serving Aosta Valley produce.
Why “Antirouille”?
The name, which means “anti-rust”, comes from a popular saying: water makes you rust. Wine, on the other hand, protects you from rust… You can guess the rest.
Jambon de Bosses, fontina and lard d’Arnad
The place does not simply serve wine. It makes a point of offering the best produce of the valley. On the menu you will find the three best-known PDO products of the Aosta Valley: jambon de Bosses, fontina and lard d’Arnad.
The kitchen stays open all day. It prepares simple, generous dishes made with local produce. You can drop in for just an aperitif, for dinner with friends or to celebrate an occasion. Wine lovers and food lovers alike will find something to enjoy.

A terrace and a softly lit room
The Vinosteria occupies a modern building. Outside, a green terrace lined with fruit trees welcomes customers in fine weather. Inside, the décor is rustic and the lighting soft.
The basement tavern
The best part is downstairs. The basement tavern houses a well-stocked cellar, with a carefully chosen selection of wines from the valley and elsewhere.
This is also where themed evenings and tastings take place, sometimes led by sommeliers. On some evenings, the aperitif is even served right in the vineyards.
