Di Francesco – Gasperi
Two friendly families and terraces rescued from oblivion

In Saint-Pierre, this small estate grew out of a long friendship. The Di Francesco and Gasperi families have known each other for fifty years. In 2000 they decided to make wine together. The first bottles came in 2009.
Bringing the terraces back to life
The estate covers about a hectare and a half, on south-facing terraces. The vines cling to the rock between dry-stone walls. Some of these terraces had been abandoned for decades. The two families restored them, wall by wall. A stone engraved with the year 1792 was even found in the vineyard.
In the cellar, they intervene little, so that the vintage can speak for itself.
The wines
Production is small, a few thousand bottles.
- Petite Arvine: the white, planted between the walls.
- “Planchettes”: a blended red.
- Fumin: a red from a slope that was abandoned for a long time, then replanted.
