Maison D&D
Wine and honey on the hills of Aosta

On the hills above Aosta, Maison D&D is a family estate set up in 2002. The aim was to keep the family’s land and to take on abandoned plots. The grandparents were already growing vines in the early 20th century.
Honey too
In 2011, the estate added a honey house. In this way it revived a craft of earlier generations. It produces acacia, rhododendron, chestnut and mountain flower honeys. A visit takes in the cellar, the vineyards and the honey house.
A small hillside farm
The vines are on the adret, the sunny side of the valley, on steep slopes. The work is mostly done by hand, with natural fertilisers and few treatments.
The wines
- Whites: Muscat Petit Grain and Petite Arvine.
- Reds: Pinot Noir, Gamay, Torrette, Syrah and Fumin.
- “Laetitia”: a rosé.
- “Deux Petits Doux”: a late-harvest wine.
